The majority of this 40-acre tract of forestland is planted to red pine that received the first thinning in 2017. The red pine plantation will be ready for a second thinning as early as 2024. The edges of the parcel have young aspen and the northeast corner of the property is a muskeg bog. Whalen Creek, which is a tributary to the Namekagon River, travels through the northeast corner of the property. The parcel is on the end of a dead end road with power and phone service available. Enrolled in the Managed Forest Law (MFL) program.
