Safety at Steigerwaldt: First Aid Kits
Ouch! I received a minor wound! Luckily, I was prepared with a first aid kit in my cruising vest. When working or recreating in the woods, it is always a good idea to pack a first aid kit in case of a minor injury or illness.
At Steigerwaldt, every employee receives a first aid kit. These kits include the following items:
- Wrap Bandages
- Emergency Blanket
- Rain Poncho
- Cutting Tool
- Hand Warmer
- Gauze
- Bandages – assorted sizes
- Antibiotic Ointment
- Antihistamine Tablets
- Alcohol Wipes
- Ibuprofen
- Matches and Candle
- Medical Tape
These items help prepare our staff for an unexpected incident. Cleaning and bandaging minor cuts and scrapes help the prevention of infection or other complications. The poncho and blanket can be emergency protection and warmth from elements in the event of unexpected weather.
With all first aid, the hope is our crew never has to use these supplies, but always incredibly important to have in the event of an incident. Stay safe!
