Six Decades of Steigerwaldt Leadership
Steigerwaldt represents three generations and over 65 years of natural resource management and stewardship.
With over 60 specialized and passionate team members, Steigerwaldt enters the future with intentional effort and focus on expansion of opportunities, areas, clients served, and seeking better ways to connect and serve our clients, providing quality services, and striving to exceed expectations.
1957-1970
Our Beginning
Business was focused on private forest management, aerial photograph interpretation, Christmas tree farm management, and general land consulting.
1970-1979
Supporting Smarter Land Decisions
We grew to offer timber and natural resource appraisal services, giving clients the reliable data needed for informed investment and conservation decisions.
1979-1983
Stewardship in Action
Services expanded to include large real estate appraisals, inventory, and mapping.
1983-1987
Establishing Our Roots
Our first full-time employees were hired, and the company name changed to Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc.
1987-1990
Expanding Expertise
Staff blooms to ten full-time employees and our office moves to our current location on North 4th Street in Tomahawk, WI.
1990-2007
Innovation Strengthens Our Impact
Steigerwaldt introduces geographic information systems and right-of-way acquisition services. Staff grows to 22 full-time employees.
2007-2015
Expanding Our Footprint
We expanded our services and opened a branch in Hayward, WI in 2009. In 2015, we expanded our Michigan office and relocated to a larger, current office location on Highway 63 in Hayward.
