Dan L. Toivonen
Vice President - Land & Resource Management
Dan Toivonen serves as the Vice President of Land and Resource Management at Steigerwaldt Land Services. Dan oversees the Forestry, Environmental and Tree Farm departments, and he is responsible for supporting the division through business development, large land management, environmental services, and tree farm activities. Dan has 30 years of experience in procurement and land management across the US and Canada. He is a Society of American Foresters certified forester and holds a bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of WI – Stevens Point and a master’s in management from the College of St. Scholastica.
Prior to his current position, Dan spent most of his career with large industrial forestry companies across the US and Canada managing timberlands, leading procurement efforts, forest certification and sustainability, and managing and developing forestry professionals.
In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and new grandson and fishing whenever he can. He also enjoys hiking with his wife, occasional hunting trips, and spending time around their home in Springbrook, WI gardening and cutting firewood.
