Pete B. Wolter

Pete Wolter serves as a Senior Wisconsin Certified General Appraiser at Steigerwaldt Land Services. He is responsible for supporting the Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate division by appraising various types of land including vacant and improved properties, agricultural lands, encumbered properties, and performing “before and after” appraisals for eminent domain and conservation and other easement purposes. He reviews appraisals and provides expertise to guide team member appraisal efforts. Pete specializes in appraising recreational forest and timberland properties across the state of Wisconsin and appraising large conservation easements on timberlands. 

Pete holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He majored in Natural Resource Management and minored in Environmental Law Enforcement. 

Prior to his current position, Pete was a real estate supervisor for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. He was in their real estate program for over 25 years. 

In his free time, Pete enjoys hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities such as camping. He also enjoys watching sports activities or attending Packers or Brewers games. He also enjoys watching old western movies.
