Sophie L. Valima
Forester
Sophie Valima serves as a Forester at Steigerwaldt Land Services. She is responsible for supporting the Forest and Land Management division through Forest Operations. Sophie specializes in gathering inventory data, timber marking, and stand boundary delineation.
Sophie holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan Technological University in Forestry with minors in Ecology and Business.
Prior to her current position, Sophie was an intern with the Michigan DNR in Newberry. She also has experience and knowledge in landscaping, ornamental plant care, and customer service.
In her free time, Sophie enjoys trying new things, traveling, hiking, baking, and spending time with the people she loves.
