Our Roots

Carli Uher has been with Steigerwaldt for 1 year.  She currently holds the title of Inventory Forester.

What are three skills or attributes that describe you?

Driven, Responsible, Amiable

Which projects that you have worked on have been the most enjoyable?

The most rewarding project I have worked on was an inventory project in Pennsylvania. It was the first project that I really began to lead field efforts on, so it was a relief to see that hard work pay off on an out of state project. The entire team came together to exceed production goals and finish the project ahead of the deadline.

What are your biggest accomplishments at Steigerwaldt?

My biggest accomplishments while at Steigerwaldt have been establishing myself as both a confident cruiser and field crew leader and having that hard work recognized by my colleagues. Cross training with the Geospatial Solutions department and leveraging those skills on larger inventory projects has also been a big win for me and has helped me start to discover my true niche.

What is your favorite Steigerwaldt value and why?

Stewardship. Stewardship has always been the main driver for me in pursuing a career in natural resources. My upbringing really instilled a desire to preserve and care for our natural world.

How do you see this value in action at work?

I see this value in action the most amongst my fellow field team members. When I look back on the hard work and persistence we all put in on large projects, I know it was accomplished in the end because of the passion we all share in managing the land and its resources.
