Rachel Rubo has been with Steigerwaldt for a year and a half. She currently holds the title of Division Coordinator for Land & Resource Management.
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in coordinating the day-to-day operations of my department, including invoicing, proposals, and travel.
What does a day in your role look like?
At the end of the month, my workload is heavily focused on invoicing. Throughout the month, I also run reports, edit proposals, set up new projects, assist team members with time and expense entry, and support the overall coordination and administration of the department.
What initially drew you to your field?
Previously, I worked in the natural resources field for 10 years. I was responsible for identifying and presenting new opportunities in the local market.
What energizes you and keeps your passion going?
I love my team and problem solving with our Inventory & Geospatial Solutions, Environmental, and Forestry departments.
What is your favorite part of your role or favorite thing about working at Steigerwaldt?
My favorite parts of working at Steigerwaldt is the flexibility of my role and the variety of responsibilities I’m able to take on.
What are three attributes that describe your team?
During deployments, they demonstrate perseverance, a strong work ethic, and tenacity.
