Josh Burling has been with Steigerwaldt for 16 years. He currently holds the title of Chief Operations Officer.
What do you specialize in?
For the team, I support business operations, business performance, people leadership, strategic implementation, and business development. For clients, I primarily support timberland investment operations management, real estate brokerage, and real estate land rights acquisition.
What does a day in your role look like?
Each day is different. Typically, there is a good mix of business strategy and performance objectives, business operations and systems, human resources, business development, and client project support.
What initially drew you to your field?
My overall interest in outdoor activities lead to a passion for land and natural resources.
What energizes you and keeps your passion going?
I like the opportunities we have as a group to support big projects for clients. I enjoy seeing our clients and our team tackle challenging projects together.
What is your favorite part of your role or favorite thing about working at Steigerwaldt?
I enjoy the diversity of the role, the challenges of consulting, and seeing our team and clients grow and be successful.
