Jon Andreas has been with Steigerwaldt for 7 1/2 years. He currently holds the title of Tree Farm Operations Director.
What do you specialize in?
Everything related to Christmas tree operations from planting to harvest for both wholesale and retail trees.
What does a day in your role look like?
Every day is different, so it’s hard to describe a typical day. In general, it is overseeing the operations and daily maintenance on the tree farms.
What initially drew you to your field?
I wanted to work outdoors.
What energizes you and keeps your passion going?
Being able to see the final goal where Christmas trees are in homes for families to enjoy
What is your favorite part of your role or favorite thing about working at Steigerwaldt?
The variety of the work on the Tree Farm. As the seasons and months change, so does the work and with that are new challenges to overcome.
