Camp 37-Argonne

This parcel was listed in the fall of 2023, and we are surprised it is still available. It’s a 1,000-acre tract of forestland that offers both timber investment and recreation. It’s located in Forest County, approximately 5 miles north of Crandon and 20 miles northeast of Rhinelander. County Highway G is ¼ to ½ mile south. National Forest land borders on the north and there is a very good interior woods road system. These type of roads are expensive to build and add additional value to timberland tracts. Major species of trees include sugar maple, soft maple, basswood, yellow birch, and hemlock.

Large parcels such as this are becoming very difficult to find. The land is enrolled in Wisconsin’s Managed Forest Program as “open”, but it can be changed to a “closed” status.
