A timber investment management organization (TIMO) needed 121,000 acres of Appalachian hardwood appraised in a short timeframe. They called us because of our knowledge of northern hardwoods and the ability to mobilize quickly.
While one appraiser performed a personal inspection of the property, the forestry staff started on the income approach to value, complete with stumpage and timber value evaluations. Combining data and analyses, our team completed and delivered the appraisal in just a one-month timeframe, allowing the client to use solid data to inform their decision making.
