Patti Winker has been with Steigerwaldt for 9 years. She currently holds the title of Administrative Assistant – Accounts Payable.
What are three skills or attributes that describe you?
Loyal, Tenacious, Dependable
Which projects that you have worked on have been the most enjoyable?
I worked to institute new procedures and software programs in the Finance Department, resulting in improved accuracy and reporting, along with faster results, which is certainly rewarding.
A fun project away from my desk was helping resolve issues with some of our office layouts; choosing designs and coordinating building contractors.
What are your biggest accomplishments at Steigerwaldt?
I am part of the team who successfully steered the company through several reporting software changes, not without bumps along the way, but definitely wins.
Early on, I was given the task of taking over and tightening up accounts payable, which I did successfully, freeing up the finance managers to focus on their mission.
What is your favorite Steigerwaldt value and why?
Team “We.” I believe when our team thinks in terms of “We” and not “Me” all the remaining Steigerwaldt values fall into place naturally.
How do you see this value in action at work?
I see team members in all departments reaching out constantly, asking what they can do to help. This attitude comes straight from the top. There isn’t a single team member who hasn’t left the comfort of their own position to do what they could to help others.
